Our manufacturing network
Vernex does not own a factory. It owns the network behind your order, the qualification that got each partner into it, and the contract in front of it.
Over 50 production partners build the work quoted on this site. They are wire harness, cable assembly and panel manufacturers — some four-person shops with two crimp presses, some plants with dozens of lines — and each was assessed before it became eligible to receive an order.
They sit across Europe, North America, North Africa and Asia. Which one builds your order depends on what the drawing needs, what it has to be certified to, and the landed cost and lead time you are working to — not on where we happen to be.
Which partner builds your order is our decision to make and ours to answer for. You see one quote, one contract and one invoice.
50+Vetted production partners worldwide
Capacity where your order needs it.
Every order goes to the partner best placed to build it — chosen for the processes your drawing needs, the certification it has to carry, and the lead time you are working to. Every manufacturing partner was carefully vetted before taking on work.
Region is a filter on an order, not a fixed answer. If your project has to be built in a particular country or economic area, say so on the enquiry and we will confirm at quote time whether we can place it there.
What the network can build.
The processes, components and tests available across the network as a whole. Every project is matched to a manufacturer already qualified for the ones it needs.
Assembly
- Crimp-force monitored terminations, 32–4 AWG, and heavy gauge above it
- IDC mass termination, ultrasonic splice, solder and tinned leads
- Twisted pair, shielded and screened bundles with drain-wire terminations
- Overmoulding, potting, heat-shrink and braided sleeving
- Layout-board builds for repeatable geometry and bend radius
- Cabinet and DIN rail wiring with torque-controlled fastening
Components
- TE / AMP, Molex, JST, Harting, Phoenix Contact, Deutsch, Amphenol
- UL 1007 / 1015, silicone, PTFE, PUR and halogen-free jacketing
- M8 / M12 industrial circulars and IP67 sealed entries
- Coaxial, ribbon, HV and panel wire families
- Obsolescence checks and drop-in alternates at quote time
Test & documentation
- 100% continuity testing against your net list
- Hipot and insulation-resistance testing where specified
- Pull-force sampling per IPC/WHMA-A-620 class
- Crimp height measurement where the drawing calls for it
- Lot traceability on wire, contacts and connectors
- First-article inspection reports and certificates on request
IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the industry standard for cable and wire harness assemblies. Certificates for your assigned manufacturer are available on request.
How a manufacturer becomes eligible for your order.
Four steps, in this order. A partner that has not been through all four does not see an order.
Capability declaration
At registration a partner sets out what it builds: machines, wire range, connector families, batch sizes, certifications and the industries it already serves. This is the record every order is matched against, and keeping it current is part of staying in the network.
Document and certification review
Company registration, insurance and every certificate claimed at registration are checked against the documents themselves. A certificate that cannot be produced does not count.
Sample or first-article build
Before a partner is eligible for series work it builds a sample or a first article, which we inspect against the drawing it was given. Workmanship gets looked at, not just described.
Ongoing performance review
Delivered orders are reviewed on the things a buyer actually feels: on-time delivery, conformance to the spec, and what happened when something went wrong. A partner's standing moves with that record, in both directions.
What can arrive with the order.
Documentation is specified, not assumed. Name what you need on the enquiry and it is priced into the quote and built into the order.
Commonly asked for
- Certificate of conformity
- Continuity test record against your net list
- As-built bill of materials
Also available
- First-article inspection report or PPAP documentation
- Insulation resistance test record
- Hipot and dielectric withstand test record
- Crimp pull-force and crimp height records
Ask for these on the enquiry rather than after the order. A record that was not specified before the build cannot always be produced afterwards.
We do not own a factory. We do own your order.
Vernex has no production floor. Every harness, assembly and panel quoted here is built by a partner.
What that changes for you is nothing, because the contract is with us. One quote, one contract, one invoice — accountable for quote, quality and delivery, whichever partner physically builds your harness. If an order is late, short or wrong, it is ours to fix rather than yours to chase across a supply chain you never chose.
You get
One spec review, one price, one contract and one contact — no supplier qualification of your own.
We own
Manufacturer selection and audit, spec normalisation, production follow-up and incoming quality.
Our network
Over 50 production partners across Europe, North America, North Africa and Asia, audited before they receive work.
Build for the network.
If you build wire harnesses, cable assemblies or panels, the supply side has its own site: what we route, how Jobs and RFQs work, the commercials, and the registration form. Free to join, free to bid, no exclusivity.
Questions engineers & buyers ask.
Over 50 production locations. The number moves as partners join and as capacity changes, so it is stated as a floor — a headline figure would be out of date by the time you read it.
The one whose declared capability, certification and capacity matches your spec at the time you order. Partner identity is confidential, so we do not publish it — but the certificates, test records and traceability for your assigned manufacturer are available on request with the quote.
Wherever the partner that fits your specification sits — the network spans Europe, North America, North Africa and Asia. What decides it is the processes your drawing needs, the certification it has to carry, and the landed cost and lead time you are working to. We tell you the country at quote time if it matters to you.
No, and it would be misleading to say otherwise: those are manufacturing certifications and Vernex does not manufacture. Partners across the network hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and certificates for the manufacturer assigned to your order are available on request.
It is our problem. Vernex is the counterparty on the contract, so a late, short or non-conforming order is handled by us with the manufacturer, not handed to you as a supplier dispute you have to run.
Ask. Some partners will host a customer audit and some will not, and it depends on the project as much as on the partner — so it is a conversation at quote time.
Send what you have — drawings, a BOM or wire schedule, an EPLAN or Zuken E3 export, or a description. We normalise it into a manufacturable spec and return a fixed price with lead time within 24 hours. The order is then matched to a manufacturer already qualified for the processes and certifications it needs, continuity is tested against your net list, and the documentation you named at enquiry ships with the parts. You hold one contract and one contact throughout; manufacturer selection, audit and incoming quality are ours.
