A complete drawing package is ideal, and rarely what anyone has. These all work:
- Drawings — PDF, DXF or STEP
- Wire schedules and BOMs — XLS or CSV
- EPLAN and Zuken E3 exports
- A photo of the assembly you are replacing
- A sketch on paper, with connector part numbers and lengths
- A paragraph of text, with no attachment at all
